MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
37 HOURS PER WEEK

SPRING/SUMMER 25
An opportunity has arisen for a hard-working, enthusiastic individual to join our busy reception team to cover maternity leave. The position will start around July 2024 for approximately one year. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills with a confident, friendly and professional manner.
Work environment
Our busy administrative office is a fast paced work environment where no two work days are the same and the ability to multi-task is essential.
What might a day in this job look like?
The role involves use of IT systems, answering the telephone to patient queries, face-to-face interaction with patients, processing prescription requests, scheduling appointments and electronic processing of documentation.
You’ll normally work the core hours stated below but we require a degree of flexibility to adjust shift pattern to cover holidays and sickness.
Core Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 9.30am – 6.00pm
- Friday 10.00am – 6.00pm
What qualities are required?
We are looking for someone who is a reliable, discreet, people-person with a ‘can do’ attitude. The post holder must be able to confidently and competently operate a PC and be familiar with Outlook, Word and Excel. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to the smooth operation of our medical practice.
